Getting Started with cocorev
Get set up in under 10 minutes and start finding the winnable deals.
What You'll Accomplish
By the end of this guide, you'll have:
- Your company profile and Ideal Customer Profile defined
- Your cocorev account connected to HubSpot
- Your first partner connection requested
- The cocorev card visible on your HubSpot company records
- AI-generated Ecosystem Signals (leads you can act on today)
- Access to Ecosystem Playbooks that surface winnable deals
Step 1: Create Your Account
Go to app.cocorev.com/auth/sign-up
Enter:
- Company name
- Industry
- Your name and email
- Password
Click Create my account.
That's it. You're in.
Step 2: Complete the 6 Setup Steps
After signing up, you'll see the Get Started checklist. Complete all 5 steps to unlock the full power of cocorev.
Setup Step A: Complete Your Company Profile
Help partners understand who you are at a glance.
- From the Get Started checklist, click Go to Settings
- Find Company Overview
- Add your company name and logo
- Select your industry
- Choose your headquarters location
- Click Save Changes
This takes about 1 minute and improves your partner match quality.
Setup Step B: Define Your ICP
Your Ideal Customer Profile helps cocorev identify the best opportunities for you.
- In Settings, scroll to Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)
- Check the Target Industries that match your customers (e.g., Technology & Software)
- Check the Target Company Sizes you sell to (e.g., Medium 51-200)
- Save your changes
Be specific here. The tighter your ICP, the better your signals.
Setup Step C: Connect Your HubSpot Portal
This is what powers cocorev's intelligence. Connecting HubSpot lets us analyze your deals and surface ecosystem signals.
- In Settings, find the HubSpot Portal section
- Click to connect
- Authorize cocorev in HubSpot (takes 30 seconds)
- You'll see "Connected" status with your Portal ID

Don't Have Permission to Install Apps?
Installing HubSpot apps typically requires Super Admin access. If you can't complete this step, send this to your HubSpot admin:
Hi, I'm setting up cocorev to help us surface ecosystem intelligence on our deals. To complete the setup, I need the cocorev app installed from the HubSpot Marketplace. Could you install it or grant me App Marketplace Access? Here's the app: [link to cocorev in HubSpot Marketplace]
Setup Step D: Find and Invite Your First Partner
Now head to the Ecosystem section in the left navigation.
You have two options:
Option A: Find partners already on cocorev
- Use the Add New Partner search box
- Search for a company name
- If they're in the cocorev network, click Request
- They'll get a notification to connect with you
Option B: Invite a partner who isn't on cocorev yet
- If your partner isn't in the network, you can invite them via email
- They'll get an invitation to join and connect with you

Setup Step E: Connect with a Partner to unlock the Ecosystem Playbooks
Once a partner accepts your request (or you accept theirs), you're connected.
Connected partners appear in your Current Partners list with a green "Connected" status.
When you have at least one connected partner, you unlock the full Ecosystem Playbooks and get even richer signals.
While You Wait, Get Your First Ecosystem Signals
You don't have to wait for a partner to accept before getting value. While your partner request is pending, go to Ecosystem Signals in the left navigation.
The AI agent will start working immediately. You'll see "AI Customer Generation in Progress" followed by "Just started..." and then "finito" when it's nearly done.
This takes 2-3 minutes. The AI is doing real work on your behalf:
- Analyzing your ICP
- Finding relevant partners in your ecosystem
- Identifying companies with high intent signals
- Scoring confidence levels
When it's done, you'll see up to 10 signals with companies you can reach out to today.

Step 3: Add App Card to HubSpot Company Records
Before you start using the Playbooks, make sure the cocorev card is visible on your company records. This is where you'll see partner connections and recommended plays for each account.
Option A: From Connected Apps (Super Admins)
- In HubSpot, click the Settings icon (gear) in the top navigation
- In the left sidebar, go to Account Management > Integrations > Connected apps
- Click cocorev
- Click the App cards tab
- On the cocorev card, click Manage locations
- Select the checkbox for Companies
- Click Save
Option B: From Record Customization
- In HubSpot, click the Settings icon (gear) in the top navigation
- In the left sidebar, go to Data Management > Objects > Companies
- Click the Record Customization tab
- Click Default view
- In the right sidebar section, click Add card
- Find the cocorev card and add it
- Click Save and exit
Once added, you'll see the cocorev Partner Summary card on every company record.
For Sales Teams: Individual Reps May Need to Add the Card
If a rep has previously customized their HubSpot record layout, the cocorev card may not appear automatically. They'll need to add it to their personal view.
How reps add the card:
- Open any company record in HubSpot
- In the right sidebar, click Customize cards
- Find the cocorev card and add it
- Click Save
Message to send your team:
Hey team, we've set up cocorev to surface ecosystem intelligence directly in HubSpot. You should see a new "cocorev Partner Summary" card in the right sidebar of company records.
If you don't see it, you'll need to add it manually: open any company record, click "Customize cards" in the right sidebar, add the cocorev card, and hit Save.
This card shows you which accounts have partner connections and what play to run. Check it before your next call.
Step 4: Start Using Ecosystem Playbooks
Go to Home to see your four Ecosystem Playbooks:
Upsells & Expansion Unlock revenue by expanding into new teams, departments, or geographies within your existing accounts.
Accelerate Opportunities Leverage your partner's knowledge and relationships to speed up the sales cycle.
Generate Opportunities Prioritize high-intent leads who've demonstrated buying behavior with your partner's solutions.
Build Partnerships Strengthen your partnership through proactive support of their expansion and opportunity generation efforts.
Click View customers on any playbook to see which accounts have ecosystem signals you can act on.
