Through almost 10 years at LearnUpon, Cathal led Partnerships as the company scaled from  startup to one of the leading Irish Tech companies and saw up close that ecosystem relationships were behind the best revenue outcomes.  This included a deep partnership with HubSpot.

Scaling ecosystem selling across B2B SaaS

Simon moved on to build ecosystem programs at fast-growing scale-ups.  At Storyblok, he took the AWS hyperscaler program from zero to one, co-sold millions alongside hundreds of AWS sellers, and won the AWS Rising Star Award for ecosystem selling 2025.

By mid 2025, outbound was on life support. Ecosystem-led selling was the enterprise playbook that actually worked. Existing tools solved for scale, not speed.  AI meant you could finally build something that fit how smaller teams actually work.


HubSpot was pulling ahead in the segment that needed this most.  A platform built for speed, with ecosystem thinking already in its DNA.
